Christmas is over

Yes thats it over for another year. I can't believe that it is over, got some lovely presents, had a lovely family meal ... and now sitting in my pyjamas ... gotta get up and do something. I watched the Liverpool V Newcastle match which ended in 5-1. Talked to my brother on the phone. Now its 3.30pm ... How did that happen??!!!

Lomo update

Well its November already and Ive had quite a few excursions out with the lomo. Started my higher photography course at college - the subject I have chosen is the natural world topic ... and in choosing that I decided to take 3 cameras out to the beach. One of those cameras is the lomo LCA+ I have had some happy accidents with the results. One of which is this double exposed photo of longniddry ... with a very cool rainbow lensflare that just appeared on the neg!
The other camera I have taken out and about is my digital canon 400d and also have a black and white film camera too. I want to compare the images and then choose the favourite style. At the moment the LCA+ is winning hands down.

I was out and about today at Portobello beach with the lomo again. MY OH MY it was bloody cold. The wind was ice cold ... winter is coming and my beach project is going to get harder. Well I am going to find motivating myself to get out and about difficult in the cold! Scotland is so damn cold in winter.

Anyway... all good with me.

Lomo Lomo Lomo

My new lomo camera arrived today - the LC-A+

Its a film camera and what can I say - I just got addicted to some of the shots produced by the lomo addicts who contribute to the lomo sites on flickr.
I'm hoping to re-create the types of shot but in my own style.

I was bored last week when I ordered the camera ... spent a bit of time on ebay (ooops). July has been pants for weather and I haven't been feeling inspired to take the digital camera out. Going to force myself to go out tomorrow while I am shopping and take some practise shots with the lomo.

I recently have been taking some self-portrait shots of myself. I have always been fascinated with the concept of self-portrait and didn't really understand what it was all about. I'm gradually learning that it is a weird and bizarre feeling to take a self-portrait. I mean some of my poses and facial expressions have been totally cringe-worthy! ha ha. They will never be seen and infact most of them have been deleted!

Wheat-A-Bix or Highland Coo?!

I was off today. No college for summer ... and the nice weather disappeared - although it was still warm. I had hoped to take the camera out and about today but didn't get the motivation to do it when it clouded over.

Anyway thought I would take a photo of this wee coo ... I had bought it from a craft place in Markinch (Fife) at christmas time but never got around to giving it to anyone as a present .... so I'll keep it! I felt that I had to take a photo of something!
